Install and use the job tracker browser extension

Track job applications directly from supported job boards using the We Are Distributed browser extension. The extension adds a tracking button to job listing pages and keeps your recent applications visible in a popup.

Install the extension

The browser extension is available through the platform. After you install it, you can pin it to your browser toolbar for quick access.

Sign in from the extension

When you open the extension popup for the first time, you'll see a sign-in prompt:

  1. Click Sign in to We Are Distributed

  2. Log in with your account credentials

  3. The extension will confirm you're connected and show your recent applications

Track jobs from supported job boards

When you browse a supported job board, the extension adds a floating Track with We Are Distributed button to the page. Click it to save the job to your tracker.

The extension attempts to detect job details like title and company from the page and prefill the tracking form.

Supported job boards

The extension works on job listing pages from these platforms:

  • Greenhouse

  • Ashby

  • Lever

  • BambooHR

  • Breezy

  • SmartRecruiters

  • Workable

  • Recruitee

  • Teamtailor

  • Rippling

  • Personio

  • Homerun

  • Pinpoint

  • Freshteam

  • HubSpot

  • And other supported platforms

If the extension can't detect job details automatically, you can enter them manually using the popup form.

Add jobs manually from the popup

Open the extension popup and click + Add jobs to create a tracked application:

  1. Enter the Job Title

  2. Enter the Company name

  3. Optionally add a Location

  4. Select a Status: Pending, Applied, Screening, Interviewing, Offer Received, or Rejected

  5. Click Track Application

The extension saves the job to your tracker and shows a confirmation message.

View recent applications

The extension popup displays your recent applications at a glance. Click Open full tracker → to view and manage all your tracked jobs in the main dashboard.

Handle errors

Duplicate tracking: If you try to track a job that's already in your tracker, the extension shows "This job is already in your tracker."

Tracking failures: If tracking fails, the extension shows "Failed to track. Please try again." Common causes include temporary connection issues or an expired session. Refresh the page and try again, or sign back in through the extension.
