  • Ensure secure storage of secrets and credentials (Azure Key Vault).
  • Optimize batch job performance (concurrency, multi-threading, thread safety).
  • Discover and document business requirements for batch jobs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify technical and operational expectations.
  • Develop and maintain PowerShell modules, including code signing and security practices.
  • Rapidly learn mainframe concepts as needed for migration.
  • Participate in daily standups, sprint planning, and troubleshooting sessions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams (front-end, back-end, database, mainframe experts).

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting and automation in Azure.
  • Familiarity with mainframe batch job concepts (JCL, GDGS, PDSS) or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Experience with C#/.NET, SQL Server, and Azure Storage.
  • Knowledge of Azure monitoring tools (App Insights) and security (Key Vault).
  • Understanding of thread safety, locking mechanisms, and concurrency in scripting.
  • Experience with migration projects (mainframe to cloud preferred).
  • Ability to interpret and convert JCL scripts to PowerShell.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • 3+ Years working with various Azure Services and technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with PowerShell and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with operationalizing batch jobs.
  • Code signing and sandbox-level security practices for PowerShell modules.

Team & Reporting Structure

  • Work with program managers, senior architects, lead developers, and mainframe experts.
  • Participate in regular meetings and collaborative problem-solving sessions.

Valued skills and experience:
