Content Marketing Manager

Roofr is seeking a new Content Marketing Manager to join our content team as a champion of our customers and long-form content. You’ll act as a representation of our brand, manage and execute your own projects, tell our customers’ stories to the world, and help to create content that roofers want to read.

We’re looking for a firecracker storyteller who doesn’t just want to run existing programs, but look for ways to make them even better. You should love executing programs as much as you love planning them.

What you'll get to do:

  • Run our Roofr of the Month program: Work with sales, support, and industry experts to identify top-level Roofr customers to feature as in our ROTM program. You’ll be responsible for cold calling customers, finding the best fit for our monthly features, organizing interviews, collecting information, creating landing pages, and more.
  • Customer Engagement : Get to know our customers, and build those relationships through the ROTM program, podcast interviews, social media engagement, Reddit posting, and attending events.
  • Podcast Management: Coordinate interviews between our host, Pete McKendrick, and industry guests, edit and publish the podcast on a monthly basis at a minimum.
  • Strategic planning: Connect project and campaign strategies to company goals, tracking performance and reporting on the outcomes. Adapt and learn from what worked and what didn’t to improve campaign performance.
  • Content Creation : Create, write, edit, proofread, and execute a variety of content including customer stories and quotes, testimonials, long form content, quote libraries, slide decks, presentations, blogs, social media briefs, infographics, website content, flyers, postcards, podcasts, email, and more.
  • Project Management: Work with stakeholders both internally and externally to run your own programs, create content including writing briefs, communicating project needs, providing feedback, creating tasks, managing deadlines, and owning results.
  • Content Management: Create strategic content plans that align with company goals, industry trends, product releases, and seasonality.
  • Metric Tracking & Recommendations : Track all owned metrics on a weekly basis to discover, recommend, and implement areas of improvement and new opportunities, and to identify channel trends.
  • Research & Development : Stay up to date on the latest trends to ensure that content is relevant and engaging to our audience.
  • Partnerships & Contractors : Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media or email to create and build a strong network, create contracts to develop content, and manage contractors hired to complete any overwork initiatives (web development, blogs, content creation, etc).
  • Video Editing : Basic video editing on iMovie, Premiere Pro, and/or Descript to edit podcasts, webinars, help videos, etc.

What you bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in content creation, marketing, or communications.
  • A deep respect for the roofing industry and those who work in roofing.
  • Experience in blue collar tech is a bonus.
  • A portfolio of published work or examples of previous long form, video/podcast, blog, and case study content.
  • Experience leveraging AI to work smarter in content creation.
  • Familiarity with content management systems HubSpot, webflow, etc
  • Good knowledge of Podcast tools like Descript, Riverside, etc.
  • Experience with Figma, Asana, Canava, etc also an asset.
  • Excellent computer skills with Google Suite.
  • Excellent knowledge of various content platforms such as social media, blogs, and print media,
  • Strong understanding of content practices such as SEO, AEO, and GEO.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to apply company goals to content strategies.

 Compensation band: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 CAD
