Customer Intelligence Manager

We tackle complex, high-impact problems across a fast-moving marketplace. We move quickly, test ideas, and make decisions with clarity and transparency. Our work spans predicting demand, shaping customer behaviour, and helping partners grow as the market evolves. The scope is broad, and the impact is real.

 The Role

We’re hiring a Customer Intelligence Manager to support our Strategy & Operations (S&O) organisation. This is a research and insights role focused on driving business decisions. You’ll identify where to play, how to win, and what to prioritise - grounded in a deep understanding of customer behaviour across markets.

You will also help scale how insight is generated and used:

  • Apply AI and agentic workflows to increase speed and depth of insight
  • Build a structured intelligence layer that is accessible and reusable
  • Shift from project-based research to continuous intelligence

Hybrid working, with travel to key markets (e.g. UAE, France).

 What You’ll Be Doing

 Driving Strategic Insight

Lead research to inform critical decisions

Shape thinking on market entry, growth levers (MAU, frequency, selection, affordability), and customer segments

Turn ambiguous problems into clear research programmes and actionable direction

Building a Global View of the Customer

Synthesise signals across markets (UK, UAE, Europe) to identify patterns and differences

Connect local insights into a cohesive global narrative

Move beyond “what” is happening to explain “why”

 Evolving How We Do Research

Apply mixed-method approaches (qual + quant) to high-stakes, ambiguous problems

Deploy AI and agentic workflows to increase speed and consistency

Create a centralised, machine-readable understanding of our customers

Enable continuous, compounding insight across markets

 Influencing Decisions

 Partner with senior S&O stakeholders

Bring clarity to complex problems and frame decisions effectively

Communicate insight in a way that drives action

 We’re Looking For

  • Strategic Thinking - Frames problems clearly and links insight to decisions
  • Research Depth - Strong qualitative and/or mixed-method experience with a focus on impact
  • Systems Thinking - Connects signals across markets, data, and behaviours
  • Technical Curiosity - Applies AI and new tools to improve how work gets done
  • Communication - Delivers clear, concise narratives that influence senior stakeholders
  • Ownership - Identifies opportunities, defines scope, and drives work independently

Why This Role Matters

At Deliveroo, the hardest problems are not just product problems — they are marketplace problems, spanning customers, partners, riders, and commercial constraints. This role makes that system actionable.

 You will:

  • Turn fragmented signals into clear direction
  • Ground decisions in customer understanding
  • Identify what will drive growth across markets

 Why Deliveroo

Our mission is to transform the way you shop and eat, bringing the neighbourhood to your door by connecting consumers, restaurants, shops and riders. We are transforming the way the world eats and shops by making access to food and products more convenient and enjoyable. We give people the opportunity to buy what they want, as they want it, when and where they want it.

We are a technology-driven company at the forefront of the most rapidly expanding industry in the world. We are still a small team, making a very large impact, looking to answer some of the most interesting questions out there. We move fast, value autonomy and ownership, and we are always looking for new ideas.

 Workplace & Benefits

At Deliveroo we know that people are the heart of the business and we prioritise their welfare. Benefits differ by country, but we offer many benefits in areas including healthcare, well-being, parental leave, pensions, and generous annual leave allowances, including time off to support a charitable cause of your choice. Benefits are country-specific, please ask your recruiter for more information.

 Diversity

At Deliveroo, we believe a great workplace is one that represents the world we live in and how beautifully diverse it can be. That means we have no judgement when it comes to any one of the things that make you who you are - your gender, race, sexuality, religion or a secret aversion to coriander. All you need is a passion for (most) food and a desire to be part of one of the fastest-growing businesses in a rapidly growing industry.

We are committed to diversity, equity and inclusion in all aspects of our hiring process. We recognise that some candidates may require adjustments to apply for a position or fairly participate in the interview process. If you require any adjustments, please don't hesitate to let us know. We will make every effort to provide the necessary adjustments to ensure you have an equitable opportunity to succeed.
