Job Summary:The Internal Fund Administrator will play a central role in the oversight, monitoring, and reporting of a fund of funds complex, serving as the primary point of coordination across third-party fund administrators and auditors. This role blends operations, valuation oversight, and investment support, and is critical to ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of fund reporting for investment committee decision-making and regulatory compliance.This role sits at the intersection of fund accounting, valuation oversight, and investment reporting, serving as the internal control point for a complex alternatives platform.This position iscritical to the firm’s fiduciary and operational integrity, ensuring that:Fund valuations are accurate and prepared in accordance with valuation policyInvestor reporting is consistent and reliableInvestment decisions are supported by high-quality data
Essential Job Functions for this role include:1. Fund Administration OversightServe as the primary liaison with third-party fund administrators for all underlying funds and vehiclesReview and monitor:NAV packagescapital account statementstransaction activity (capital calls, distributions, fees)Escalate discrepancies or irregularities and ensure timely resolution2. Auditor CoordinationAct as primary point of contact for external auditorsCoordinate annual audit process across fund entities, including:PBC (Provided by Client) requestsvaluation support documentationreconciliations and tie-outsReview audited financial statements for consistency with internal records3. Shadow Accounting & ValuationPrepare and maintain quarterly shadow valuations for each fundIndependently track and reconcile:capital activityNAV movementsperformance metricsPerform capital account roll forwards, including:contributionsdistributions (including recallable capital)net asset value changesIdentify and investigate:valuation discrepanciestiming differencesstale or inconsistent pricing4. Investment Monitoring & ReportingPrepare quarterly fund monitoring and oversight reports for the Investment Committeefund performance (IRR, MOIC, DPI/TVPI)portfolio exposurescash flow activitymanager-level trendsHighlight:performance driversrisks and anomaliesnotable events across underlying managers5. Data Integrity & ReconciliationReconcile data across:internal systems (e.g., Opto / Arch / Orion / shadow books)custodiansunderlying fund reportsMaintain robust documentation and audit trail for all reconciliations6. Work Schedule:This professional role requires availability during standard business hours of Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM. At times, the role may have early or late hours to meet business tasks and deadlines for external and internal client needs.All roles classified as a non-exempt are required to record working time into the timekeeping system daily at the start and end of each workday plus a 30-minute unpaid lunch period.
Working Conditions:This position may be in a professional office environment or a dedicated home office workspace which is free of interruptions. Whether position is in a dedicated office space or home office workspace, basic technology needs will be provided to satisfy position requirements. Routinely sitting and standing for periods of time. No heavy lifting over 10 lbs.

Actual base pay within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills and licenses/certifications. This position is also eligible to earn incentive compensation through one of Mercer Advisors’ incentive compensation programs.
