About the role
Looking to break into DevSecOps? Whether you’re self-taught, transitioning from another IT role or a recent graduate - we’re looking for a sharp, motivated individual to join us for a 6-month period. Most importantly, you won't be doing this alone. We believe in nurturing talent and our senior engineers will actively mentor you helping bridge the gap between theory and real-world application.
As our Junior DevSecOps & IT Specialist (6 months), you will be an essential part of the team, ensuring our internal operations run smoothly. Currently our DevSecOps team handles all IT and access management for the organization. We are looking for a sharp, driven student or recent graduate to join us for a 6-month period to take charge of these access and support requests.
This is an ideal entry-level opportunity to gain hands-on experience, apply your knowledge to real-world challenges and kickstart your career in DevSecOps and IT in a fully remote tech environment.
Responsibilities
In this role, your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Ticket Management: Act as the first line of response for internal IT, access, and support tickets, ensuring timely and helpful resolutions for our globally distributed team.
- Access Provisioning: Manage user access requests, onboarding, and offboarding across our various systems and platforms while strictly adhering to our security protocols.
- Troubleshooting: Investigate and resolve basic to intermediate technical issues related to operating systems, software, and network access.
- Security Adherence: Help maintain our strong cybersecurity posture by identifying anomalies and ensuring all access requests follow the principle of least privilege.
- Process Documentation: Help document common IT issues and resolutions to build out our internal knowledge base.
- Uphold TestGorilla's behaviors and foster an inclusive and supportive culture.
- Collaborate effectively with global colleagues across teams and time zones.
What you’ll bring
We're looking for someone who:
- Is eager to learn and grow: You are a university student or recent graduate looking to step into the real world and gain hands-on IT and DevSecOps experience.
- Has a strong technical foundation: You have a solid academic or practical background in Operating Systems (specifically Linux).
- Loves to code or script: You are comfortable with Programming or Scripting (e.g., Python, Bash) to help solve problems efficiently.
- Understands the stakes: You have a foundational understanding of Cybersecurity principles and a passion for keeping systems secure.
- Is an excellent problem solver: You have strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues methodically.
- Is passionate about TestGorilla's mission to help one billion people find their dream jobs.
- Has strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Thrives in a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
