In close collaboration with our client Transport Infrastructure Ireland, we deliver year-round services as part of the Motorway.Key activities include winter maintenance, emergency and incident response, routine asset maintenance, inspections and patrolling, defect remedial works, traffic management and stakeholder liaison.We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Operative for our Macroom, Cork Depot.Urgent position/ Immediate start.Job DescriptionThe hands-on implementation of the day-to-day Project Road maintenance requirements.To provide call-out cover to out-of-office hours’ emergency responses on a rostered basis including night work.To carry out routine maintenance activities including:Landscaping / Grass cuttingRoad Furniture cleaningTraffic ManagementRoutine patrols & inspections of the road networkIncident responseWinter MaintenanceLitter collectionGeneral maintenance dutiesFencing repairsSmall civil works including concrete repairs, ducting etc.Keep accurate records of tasks completedComplete training as requiredTo undertake all allocated maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.QualificationsEssential:2nd level educationClass C drivers’ licenceValid Safe Pass holderRelevant experience with a background in Maintenance.Evidence of practical experience in one or more of the routine maintenance activities listed aboveAn understanding of and commitment to health and safety practices and principlesDesirable:Up-to-date training/qualifications in:Traffic ManagementH&S Related training - First Aid, Fire Warden, Manual Handling.
