Product Manager

About Exa Exa is building a search engine for the AI era. Our Search API currently powers Agents, Fortune 500s, and AI labs. We're a largely SF-based team of ~150 from Harvard, MIT, Meta, Google Research, ex-founders, and dropouts alike. About this role Exa’s Product org is small. We are designed around outcomes: better user growth, stronger developer adoption, successful launches, and clearer company wide prioritization. You will own strategy and execution for new products that extend the core exa search api to solve new use cases. This role will require working directly with strategic customers for 50% of the time to land real business generating outcomes. Minimum requirements

• 2 – 8+ years of product management experience building technical or developer-facing products
• Strong technical background - CS/EE degree, production engineering experience, or equivalent depth earned on the job.
• Excellent written communication.
• A willingness to work directly with engineering teams by reading code+specifications, testing integrations directly and building prototypes with AI tools
• Preferred:Early startup or founding experience + technical PM experience

Key responsibilities

• Own the roadmap, strategy, and success metrics for product extensions of the core Exa API platform
• Work directly with AI-native startups and enterprises that integrate the Exa tool. Watch them work, unblock them, and convert pain into productized capability
• Define metrics and success criteria to guide prioritization and measure impact across quality, coverage, cost, and speed.
• Partner with product marketing, sales, and the field to launch platform capabilities that land, like pricing and packaging, docs, cookbooks, and enablement.
