Role Description The Software Engineer - Cloud will join a foundational and growing cloud team with meaningful ownership over critical platform areas. You will help build the software systems behind a hybrid edge-cloud architecture powering real-time video streaming, recording, and AI processing at global scale . This role sits within the team led by the Head of Cloud , which owns a broad software domain across cloud, mobile, web applications, and related clients. You’ll work on a distributed backend ecosystem that connects edge devices with cloud services and customer-facing applications, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and low-latency user experiences. Responsibilities
- Build and evolve thecore cloud platformthat supportsreal-time video streaming, recording, and AI processingacross a global customer base.
- Design, develop, and maintaindistributed backend servicesthat connect edge infrastructure with cloud systems and customer-facing products.
- Develop and supportdata pipelinesfor bothreal-timeandbatchprocessing of video and AI-related workloads.
- Work on systems responsible foringestion, storage, retrieval, and secure handling of large-scale video datain amulti-tenantenvironment.
- Architectingmulti-tenant, highly available systemsacross regions in a cloud environment
- Collaborate closely withEdge engineersand adjacent teams to enable seamless integration across the broader platform.
- Use cloud provider services and SDKs as part of day-to-day development, including work across core cloud capabilities rather than a single isolated service.
- Contribute to backend development inJavaScript/Node.jsand, depending on background and team fit, potentially support growing work inGoas part of the cloud stack.
- Participating in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing performance across distributed systems
- Help support a production environment where reliability matters, including situations that may require responsiveness outside standard hours when cloud issues have broad impact.
- Our infrastructure is powered by Google Cloud.

- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on backend or cloud systems
- Adegree from a universityinComputer Science,Computer Engineering,Electrical Engineeringwith a computing specialization, or a closely related field.
- Requires hands-on experience withJavaScript / Node.jsfor backend systems.
- Experience building backend services in cloud environments and working withcloud provider services and SDKs;GCP experience is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding ofdistributed systems, concurrency, and scalability
- Experience buildingAPIs and microservices architectures
- Familiarity withreal-time systems or event-driven architectures
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work in ahybrid model in Israel, includingat least 3 days per week in the officeand collaboration across the team’s office rhythm, including periodic work from Caesarea.
- Availability to contribute in an environment that may occasionally requireremote support outside regular hours, including weekends or holidays when needed.
Nice to Have:
- Experience withvideo streaming pipelinesor media infrastructure in the cloud
- Preference for experience withstreaming/data systems(e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, MQTT)
- Knowledge ofKubernetes and orchestration systems
- Solid understanding ofDocker and containerization
- Exposure toAI/ML pipelines or data platforms
- Background insecurity best practices(IAM, encryption, secure APIs, zero trust)
- NestJs or GO (Backend)
