Ohpen is looking for a Data Governance & Data Management Engineer to join our Data team .
In this role, you will play a key role in improving how data is defined, managed, and governed across our platform, working closely with both technical teams and business stakeholders at our beautiful office in Amsterdam.
Drive data governance and platform development: You’ll design, implement, and improve our data governance platform, including metadata, lineage, and data definitions. You will actively populate and maintain governance artifacts, leveraging modern tooling and AI-assisted solutions to reflect the current state of our platform. Support client implementations: Act as a subject matter expert in data governance during client implementations and discovery phases. You’ll help ensure data structures and flows are scalable, transparent, and well-governed, while engaging directly with clients on topics such as data lineage, lifecycle management, and data quality.
Contribute to our data platform: As part of the Data team, you’ll contribute to the development of our data lake, expanding data products, and unlocking new data sources. You’ll help deliver high-quality, near real-time data while maintaining consistency across the platform.
Strengthen data modeling and stewardship: You’ll facilitate data stewardship practices, identify and resolve data modeling challenges, and improve data ownership, definitions, and consistency across teams.
Collaborate on internal data initiatives : Work closely with cross-functional teams on key initiatives such as business key standardization, code table harmonization, data modeling governance, and API design consistency.
