As Engineering Manager for our Back-office engineering teams, you will own the day-to-day leadership, delivery, and development of a team of senior engineers working on the core of our platform. You will report directly to the Ohpen Landing Platform (OLP) Engineering Director and work closely with our OLP architects, product team, and client-facing teams.
This is a people-first leadership role . You will be expected to build a high-performing, motivated team, drive delivery with clarity and accountability, and create the conditions for your engineers to do their best work. You are not expected to be the best coder in the room - you are expected to make the room better.
WHAT YOU WILL DO Lead and develop a team of senior engineers based primarily in Bratislava and Amsterdam, with full ownership of performance, growth, and team healthDrive delivery of product and platform initiatives with clarity on scope, timelines, and trade-offs - and communicate these proactively to stakeholdersBuild a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence within your teamCollaborate with product team and client success teams to translate business requirements into executable engineering plansEstablish and maintain clear metrics for team performance, delivery quality, and operational health - and act on themActively embed AI tooling and an AI-first mindset into how your team designs, builds, and ships softwareContribute to hiring, onboarding, and retaining top engineering talentIdentify and address risks early - whether technical, delivery-related, or people-related
