The Opportunity
As the Event and Partner Marketing Manager at Coursedog, you'll lead event strategy and execution across our full portfolio—from large tradeshows and user conferences to high-touch executive events and regional meetings. You'll bring deep marketing expertise to every event, planning backward from lead generation and pipeline goals rather than simply executing a checklist. This role moves at 100 miles an hour: you'll manage multiple concurrent events, coordinate integrated marketing campaigns where events are central to larger initiatives, and travel 20-30% of the time to drive on-site execution.
You'll partner closely with Sales, BDR, Account Managers, and the marketing team on targeting, messaging, and follow-up strategy—and you'll bring a collaborative, scrappy mindset to a role that demands both strategic thinking and flawless execution. This is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, enjoys owning outcomes from planning through measurement, and is energized by the challenge of turning an event into a pipeline driver.
This position offers a competitive base salary between $110,000 - $130,000 , based on experience and qualifications. The role also includes a performance-based variable compensation component, bringing total on-target earnings (OTE) to $120,000 - $140,000 when performance objectives are achieved.
What You'll Do
- Own event strategy end-to-end: define lead and pipeline goals for each event, build the plan and audience strategy backward from those goals, and own the entire program from pre-event promotion through post-event follow-up.
- Plan and execute a diverse portfolio of event types—tradeshows, user conferences, high-touch executive events, and regional meetings—tailoring strategy and format to each event's unique purpose and audience.
- Coordinate integrated pre- and post-event marketing: manage invitations, promotional campaigns, targeted outreach, follow-up campaigns, and lead handoff to Sales in partnership with the broader marketing team.
- Partner with marketing, Sales, BDR, and Product teams on larger initiatives where events are a central piece of a broader campaign, ensuring alignment on strategy, messaging, and timelines.
- Manage event logistics with precision and attention to detail: lead communication with internal team for execution and planning, negotiate with venues and vendors, own budgets and timelines, coordinate staffing, and lead flawless on-site execution.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to optimize event workflows, lead tracking, and campaign effectiveness—bringing emerging AI capabilities into event strategy to work smarter and faster.
- Track and report on event performance against pipeline and revenue goals, analyze what worked and what didn't, and use those learnings to continuously refine strategy.
- Travel approximately 20-30% of the time to represent Coursedog, build relationships with prospects and customers, and execute events on the ground.
- Take initiative across the marketing function: identify where you can help, move fast, and drive outcomes without waiting to be asked.
