Applicants must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application.What You'll Be DoingAs ourFacilities Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day facilities operation at our Glasgow site, ensuring our laboratories, equipment, and infrastructure remain safe, compliant, and running efficiently. You'll work closely with laboratory, quality, and operational teams while supervising a small facilities team and managing contractors to deliver a high standard of site support.Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and contractor activities across the siteLead, support, and develop the Facilities teamEnsure compliance with GMP, GLP, Health & Safety, and quality requirementsOversee building infrastructure, statutory inspections, and business continuity activitiesWork with internal and external stakeholders to minimise disruption and support site operationsQualificationsWhat We're Looking ForExperience in facility management, building maintenance, or a similar operational environment.Previous experience leading, supervising, and performance-managing a team.Strong communication, organizational, IT, and stakeholder-management skills, with attention to detail and audit readiness.Knowledge of regulatory, quality, and health & safety requirements; experience in a regulated environment is advantageous.Secondary education required; facility management, HSE, supervisory (e.g., ILM), or trade qualifications (electrical, plumbing, joinery) are desirable.Ideal BackgroundsFacilities Supervisor, Facilities Coordinator, Maintenance Supervisor, Building Services Supervisor, Engineering Team Leader, Health & Safety Coordinator, Compliance Supervisor, or Operations Supervisor.This role is ideal for someone looking to take ownership of site facilities, lead a team, and play a key role in supporting a busy scientific environment.Additional InformationAt SGS, we believe in rewarding our employees for their hard work and commitment.
