You will work on diverse and demanding projects across various materials, using the latest design and analysis tools to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.You will work on diverse and demanding projects across various materials, using the latest design and analysis tools to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.In close collaboration with your team from Finland, you’ll play a key role in problem-solving and project success.As part of our existing team, we expect you to develop your Finnish language skills to a level that enables you to produce design documentation in Finnish.About the team in FinlandWe are a locally focused global operator, and our extensive resources enable us to deliver design under demanding schedules in both small and large projects, across all structural types and materials.Our range of services covers all structural engineering services for both new-build and renovation projects at every stage of the project.Job DescriptionYour key responsibilitiesPrepare and verify structural calculations in accordance with Eurocodes and Finnish national standardsPerform and support 3D modeling as part of the design processPrepare calculations, drawings, and models to ensure accuracy and consistencyTake responsibility for the quality of structural designs and deliverablesQualificationsWe expect that you haveBachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalentFluent in English5–10 years of experience in structural designProficient use of RFEM, Tekla Structures, and AutoCADExperience working on projects in Nordic countriesProven track record with reference projects in industrial and public sector projectsAbility to work independentlyStrong sense of responsibility and accountabilityAbility to monitor and continuously improve qualityAbility to apply local country-specific quality requirements in daily workWe appreciate if you haveExperience in Steel workshop (fabrication) designExperience in precast element designExprerience in modeling structures in RevitExperience working on projects in FinlandExperience in preparing design documentation in FinnishFinnish language skillsAdditional InformationAt AFRY, we engineer change in everything we do.
