Join us.Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager  to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and execute infrastructure projects from conception through completion, ensuring exceptional delivery standards, adherence to timelines and budgets, and outstanding client satisfaction. You will be instrumental in driving project success through strategic planning, proactive risk management, and collaborative team leadership. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on significant infrastructure initiatives while fostering innovation and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and execute infrastructure projects throughout their lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, and budget complianceDevelop comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation strategies; monitor progress and implement corrective actions as neededServe as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns promptly, maintaining strong relationships, and ensuring consistent satisfactionCommunicate project updates, milestones, and changes to stakeholders in a clear and timely mannerIdentify potential risks and uncertainties; develop and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project stability and successSupervise and mentor project teams, providing guidance and support while fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environmentCoordinate with cross-functional teams and design partners to ensure cohesive project execution and quality deliverablesOversee design coordination processes, ensuring design outputs meet project requirements, industry standards, and client expectationsDevelop and implement project management best practices and standard operating procedures to drive operational efficiencyConduct regular project reviews and post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvementAnalyse project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholdersEnsure compliance with construction regulations, local authorities’ requirements, and standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, and with contractual obligationsQualificationsMinimumExperience9 years of progressive experience in infrastructure project managementProven track record of successfully managing medium-scale infrastructure projects from initiation to completionDomain expertise in infrastructure development, civil engineering projects, or related disciplinesDemonstrated experience in coordinating design processes and managing design teams within infrastructure projectsStrong background in budget management, schedule optimisation, and resource planningExperience managing projects in the UAE or GCC region is highly desirableSkills and CompetenciesProficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera, Microsoft Project, or equivalent platforms)Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a detail-oriented approachComprehensive understanding of consultancy agreements, construction contracts, risk management frameworks, and claims avoidance strategiesProficiency in time management and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects effectivelyAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis toolsKnowledge of construction regulations, local authorities’ requirements, and standards in Abu Dhabi and the UAE, including standard consultancy agreements is a mustKnowledge of standard D&B contracts used on Abu Dhabi and the UAE is preferredCertifications and Domain ExpertiseBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is requiredProject Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is preferredPRINCE2 certification or similar project management methodology certification is preferredFamiliarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and digital project management tools is preferredAdditional InformationAt AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.To support this commitment, all newly hired employees are required to attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location as a condition of employment.About AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
