Senior Earthworks & Civil Works Engineer – Uranium Mining Project - Namibia French speakingContractCompany DescriptionIOTA Group supports its clients in delivering major international projects across the energy, nuclear, mining, infrastructure and industrial sectors.For a major uranium mining project in Namibia, we are currently looking for an experiencedEarthworks & Civil Works Engineer.Job DescriptionFor a majoruranium mining project in Namibia, we are looking for aSenior Earthworks & Civil Works Engineer.Based betweenSwakopmund and the Trekkopje site, you will report to theEngineering Managerand oversee the project’s earthworks and civil-engineering activities in anEPC/EPCM environment.Main ResponsibilitiesPerform and reviewearthworks and civil-engineering studies.Review calculations, drawings, specifications, quantities,cut-and-fill balancesand 3D models.Supervise the design of platforms, roads, drainage systems, foundations, concrete structures, ponds and residue-storage facilities.Interpretgeotechnical, topographical and hydrological data.Prepare technical specifications andbills of quantities.Conduct technical bid evaluations for civil contractors.Participate in design reviews,HAZID and HAZOP studies.Ensure compliance withHSE and environmental requirements.Support construction teams in resolving technical queries, RFIs and site deviations.Report progress, risks and technical issues to the Engineering Manager.QualificationsDegree inCivil or Geotechnical Engineering.At least10 years of experiencein earthworks and civil engineering.Proven experience onmining, mineral-processing or major infrastructure projects.Strong experience working withinEPC/EPCM projects.Knowledge of earthworks, geotechnical engineering, foundations, reinforced concrete and civil structures.Experience withheap-leach pads, lined ponds, HDPE liners or residue-storage facilitiesis highly desirable.Knowledge of international standards, includingEurocodes, ACI and SANS.Proficiency inCivil 3Dand 3D-model review tools.Experience in theuranium, nuclear or radiologically controlled sectorwould be a strong advantage.Valid driving licenceLanguage RequirementsProfessional proficiency inFrench and Englishis required.Ability to work in aninternational and multicultural environment.Additional InformationLocation:Swakopmund and Trekkopje site, NamibiaDuration:Assignment potentially running until31 December 2027Starting date:asapReady to contribute to a major internationaluranium mining project in Namibia?Apply now with your detailed CV in English or French.By clicking the link above or any third-party link within this posting, you are leaving this site and going to a third-party website where the third-party website's terms and privacy policy applyI'm interestedI'm interestedPrivacy NoticeImprint
