You will work on diverse and demanding projects using the latest design tools to deliver high-quality, sustainable solutions.In close collaboration with your team from Finland, you’ll play a key role in problem-solving and project success. As a Senior Engineer, you will also support and mentor junior designers—sharing your expertise and contributing to the team’s growth.As part of our existing team, we expect you to develop your Finnish language skills to a level that enables you to produce design documentation in Finnish.About the team in FinlandWe are a locally focused global operator, and our extensive resources enable us to deliver design under demanding schedules in both small and large projects.Our range of services covers all Electrical engineering services for both new-build and renovation projects at every stage of the project.Job DescriptionYour key responsibilitiesGuide and support junior designers through mentoring, technical coaching, and design reviewsPerform and support 3D modeling as part of the design and coordination processReview and validate calculations, drawings, and models to ensure accuracy and consistencyCoordinate and review the design and deliverables towards local finnish client and contractor demandsEnsure designs meet applicable regulations, standards, and client requirementsTake responsibility for the quality of designs and deliverablesAbility to coordinate and drive issues to the end by proactive communication with other engineersQualificationsWe expect that you haveMaster’s degree or equivalent in Electrical EngineeringFluent in EnglishOver 10 years of experience in Electrical designProficient use of MagiCad, Navisworks and AutoCADAt least 3 years of experience working on projects in the Nordic countriesExperience working on projects in FinlandExperience in project managementStrong experience in a Project Manager roleProven track record with reference projects in industrial, residential and public buildingsAbility to work independentlyStrong sense of responsibility and accountabilityAbility to monitor and continuously improve qualityAbility to apply local country-specific quality requirements in daily workWe appreciate if you haveExperience in a supervisory or line management roleMaster’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering (EU)Finnish language skillsAdditional InformationAt AFRY, we engineer change in everything we do.
