Senior Engineer, cloud security and Infrastructure SecurityFull-timeJob DescriptionSenior Engineer, Pune/ChennaiNIQ is seeking a highly skilledSenior Engineer, Cybersecurityto join our growing cybersecurity team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, deploying, and managing tools, processes, and procedures to secure cloud applications across multiple platforms, includingMicrosoft Azure, AWS, and GCP. The successful candidate will be proficient inCloud Security Posture Management (CSPM),Cloud Workload Protection Platforms (CWPP), and Cloud Native Application Protection Platforms (CNAPP)technologies. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with teams across geographies and playing a key role in securing cloud infrastructure within a multi-national environment.Responsibilities:Deploy, manage, and optimizecloud security technologies, including CWPP, CNAPP, and CSPM solutions, to secure cloud platforms and applications.Partner with the cloud platform and app security teams to implement security controls aligned with business operations.Provide security recommendations for cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS architecture roadmaps, including baseline security controls and hardening requirements.Define and enforcesecurity guardrailsthat protect workloads while maintaining deployment agility.Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams to identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.Automate security monitoring, andinfrastructure-as-code (IaC)validation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Terraform, and Kubernetes.Collaborate with theSecurity Operations Centerto define monitoring requirements for cloud-based systems and applications.Drive cloud security best practices across Azure/AWS environments, including identity management, secrets management, workload protection, and secure configuration baselines.Partner with architecture teams onWeb Application Firewall (WAF)and API security protection patterns.Contribute to thesecurity champions programby providing expertise and training on cloud infrastructure security.Assist indesign and architecture discussions, ensuring that security is embedded in the design of cloud infrastructure.Applyhands-on experience with container technologies, such asDockerandKubernetes, to address security concerns related to containerized environments.QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related technical field; equivalent work experience will be considered.6-8 yearsof experience in cybersecurity with a focus on cloud security and infrastructure.Proficiency in deploying and managingCWPP, CNAPP, and CSPMtechnologies.Expertisecloud technologies, includingcontainer technologies, virtualization, and orchestration within multi-cloud environments.Experience withCI/CD pipelinesand tools such as Bitbucket, Gitlab, Jenkins, and Terraform.Experience ininfrastructure-as-code (IaC)validation using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and KubernetesStrong experience in managingcloud security toolssuch asWiz, Orca Security, or Palo Alto Prisma.Strong knowledge of CASB and SSPM toolsFamiliarity withcloud security best practicesand industry frameworks (Zero Trust, passwordless authentication, secrets management, etc.).Certifications such asAZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security,AWS Certified Security – Specialty, orGCP certificationsare a plus.Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, capable of addressing complex security challenges with innovative solutions.Self-starterwith a passion for technology, cybersecurity, and continuous improvement.Demonstrated engagement insecurity conferences, training, and continuous learningis highly desirable.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a global, matrixed environment.Additional InformationOur BenefitsFlexible working environmentVolunteer time offLinkedIn LearningEmployee-Assistance-Program (EAP)NIQ may utilize artificial intelligence (AI) tools at various stages of the recruitment process, including résumé screening, candidate assessments, interview scheduling, job matching, communication support, and certain administrative tasks that help streamline workflows.
