Site Manager - HV/MV SubstationsFull-timeCompany DescriptionIOTA Groupis an international engineering and technical assistance company supporting major industrial and energy projects worldwide.For one of our leading partners in theenergy and power transmission sector, we are seeking an experiencedSite Manager – HV/MV Substationsto oversee the construction and execution of a high-voltage electrical substation project inFrankfurt, Germany.Job DescriptionAsSite Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the on-site execution of a major110 kV AIS substation project, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, technical, contractual and scheduling requirements.The project involves the installation and integration of110/11.5 kV power transformers, MV switchboards, AIS equipment, protection and control systems, SCADA and substation automation systems.Key Responsibilities:Manage all site construction activities from mobilisation throughMechanical Completion, Ready for Commissioning (RFC), Energisation and Final Handover.Coordinatecivil, structural, high-voltage electrical, protection & control and commissioning activities.Supervise subcontractors, installation teams and multidisciplinary site operations, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and contractual obligations.Ensure effective site preparation, logistics, resource allocation and construction planning.Develop and monitor construction schedules, resource plans, progress reports and project KPIs.Coordinate engineering documentation, technical drawings and construction interfaces with engineering teams and the customer.Implement and enforceHSE policies, Zero Harm principles and QA/QC standardsthroughout project execution.OverseeInspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality inspections and technical compliance.Manage project risks, subcontractor performance, contractual deviations and corrective actions.CoordinatePunch Lists, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)and close-out activities.Organise progress meetings and maintain effective communication with engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams.Report directly to theConstruction Manager based in Grenoble, France.QualificationsMinimum 15 years of experienceinHV substation EPC construction projects.Strong background inElectromechanical or Electrical Engineering, with extensive knowledge of MV/HV substations and power systems.Proven experience managing construction activities on110 kV AIS substations.Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary construction teams and manage subcontractors.Strong understanding ofIEC standards, electrical protection, control systems and substation construction requirements.Experience in construction scheduling, project coordination, quality assurance and HSE management.Knowledge ofMS Project, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office or similar engineering/project management tools.H2V/B2V electrical accreditations or local equivalent.Excellent communication, organisational and leadership skills.Fluent English and French required.German is considered an advantage.Additional InformationPosition:Site Manager – HV/MV SubstationsLocation:Frankfurt am Main, GermanyWorking Schedule:Resident, 5 days per weekStarting Date:16 November 2026Duration:6 months (renewable)Contract Type:Freelance or ContractLanguages:English and French mandatory; German is a plusTravel:Occasional business trips to Grenoble, FranceBy clicking the link above or any third-party link within this posting, you are leaving this site and going to a third-party website where the third-party website's terms and privacy policy applyI'm interestedI'm interestedPrivacy NoticeImprint
