In total, we have multinational staff of more than 500 working in power generation field in Asia.We are seeking a highly experienced and motivatedSite Electrical Engineerto join our dynamic team inthe Philippines.Job DescriptionThe Solar & Battery Site Electrical Engineer is responsible for supervising and ensuring correct installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects. This role ensures all electrical works are executed in compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and Philippine electrical regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesElectrical Installation SupervisionSupervise installation of DC and AC cabling, combiner boxes, inverters, transformers, switchgear, and battery systems.Ensure electrical works follow approved drawings, single-line diagrams, and technical specifications.Coordinate daily electrical activities with civil and mechanical teams.Testing & CommissioningPerform and witness insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, grounding tests, and functional checks.Support inverter, transformer, protection relay, and battery system commissioning.Assist in grid synchronization and utility interconnection activities.Quality Assurance / Quality ControlReview and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).Conduct site inspections and raise non-conformance reports (NCRs) when required.Ensure proper documentation of test results and as-built drawings.Health, Safety & ComplianceFollow site HSE rules and ensure safe electrical work practices.Conduct toolbox talks related to electrical safety and lock-out/tag-out procedures.Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for electrical scope.Report daily progress and technical issues to the Site Manager and Project Engineer.Support material planning and tracking of electrical equipment deliveries.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.Minimum 5 years of experience in solar PV or power plant electrical installation.Experience with BESS or medium-voltage systems is a strong advantage.Knowledge of Philippine Electrical Code and grid interconnection requirements.Able to read and interpret electrical drawings and single-line diagrams.Willingness to work full-time at project site in the Philippines.Additional InformationWe offer the following to qualified candidates:Friendly international working environment with a wide variety of interesting and challenging tasksCompetitive salary packageCareer opportunity in one of the largest international consulting and engineering companiesPossibility to grow professionally and advance in careerAt AFRY, we engineer change in everything we do.
