Sr QA Engineer

We're growing our QA team and looking for a Senior QA Engineer to partner closely on quality across our integrated platform and our expanding portfolio of AI-powered workflows. Our underwriting, servicing, and customer operations all flow through Salesforce and a connected ecosystem of internal services and increasingly, LLM-driven features that require a different kind of rigor to test well.

This is a unique opportunity to partner in shaping QA strategy, implement modern automation frameworks using AI-powered tools, and build a culture of quality in a fast-paced fintech environment. You'll be instrumental in transforming our manual testing processes into a comprehensive automation suite while ensuring the reliability and security our customers depend on. We need someone who thinks in frameworks, pipelines, and repeatable systems rather than manual regression checklists. You'll have real influence on tooling, standards, and process as the team grows.

What You'll Do

• Design and maintain automated end tests for our ecosystem of internal and external systems
• Build evaluation frameworks for AI and LLM-powered features, defining what "good output" means, catching regressions in prompt behavior, and testing the non-determinism that comes with generative AI
• Partner with engineers to embed testing into CI/CD pipelines so quality signals surface early, not at release time
• Contribute to a growing quality culture, sharing testing practices with engineers, weighing in on architectural decisions, and helping set standards that will scale with the team
• Foster a culture of quality ownership and shift-left testing practices across engineering teams

What We're Looking For

Required

• 5+ years in QA or test engineering, with meaningful time spent in automation-first environments
• Expert level proficiency in test automation including APIs and SPAs
• Strong technical skills: ability to read code (Python, Golang, Ruby, TypeScript/React), understanding of software architecture, and experience with CI/CD, Git, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred)
• Hands-on experience testing third-party implementations and Salesforce-adjacent integrations (API testing, data sync validation, workflow verification)
• Genuine interest in AI and a desire to go deep on how to test it well and use it to test
• A strong desire to own initiatives, collaborate with teammates and strengthen a business through quality products
• Background in performance and load testing for high-volume transaction systems is a plus
• Experience building relationships and collaborating with engineers and product managers
• Comfort with the ambiguity that comes from building from zero to one
• Deep curiosity and a self-starter attitude

Nice to Have

• Experience with low-code/AI-assisted test automation platforms (ex. Mabl, Tricentis Tosca, Katalon Studio, Testsigma, and Leapwork)
• Prior startup experience
• Experience designing tests for AI or LLM outputs like prompt evaluation, output grading, regression testing for generative systems, or similar. We care more about how you think about testing non-deterministic systems than about specific tools
• Fintech or regulated-industry exposure
• Familiarity with tools like Postman, Playwright, Jira, Datadog or equivalent

Compensation:

Annual Targeted Salary: $120,000-$135,000 USD

Annual Target Bonus: 10%
