Sr Test EngineerFull-timeEmployment Type: Regular (PERM)Remote Work Available: NoJob DescriptionTest Strategy & DevelopmentDefine comprehensive test plans and solutions for GaN and Silicon device families.Develop cost optimized test flows, including parallel test strategies.Create, debug, and release test programs on discrete testers and mixed signal ATE platforms.Hardware Design & RequirementsDesign test hardware including load boards, probe heads, and sockets.Generate requirements for test hardware based on device specifications and characterization dataExecution & SustainingSupport New Product Introduction (NPI) through validation, release, and yield ramp activities.Provide sustaining support for existing production products and test platforms.Lead platform conversions and efficiency improvements across multiple ATE systems.Technical ExpertiseApply knowledge of wide bandgap semiconductors, power devices, and analog measurement techniques.Perform high-voltage and high-current testing safely and effectively.Use lab tools such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, spectrum analyzers, and ATE debug utilities.Cross-functional CollaborationPartner with design, product, reliability, test, and operations teams to ensure seamless project execution.Organize technical data and present findings to engineering and management teamsQualificationsExperience5–12+ years in semiconductor test engineering (experience level varies by degree: BS, MS).Hands-on experience with wafer sort and final test.Programming background in C++, VBA, or similar languagesTechnical SkillsProficiency with ATE instrumentation and platforms (discrete test systems, mixed-signal testers).Solid understanding of wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g., GaN).Experience with power and analog test methodologies.Familiarity with semiconductor fab, assembly, and packaging flows.Soft SkillsStrong communication skills with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.Ability to organize, analyze, and present technical information clearly.Additional InformationRenesas is an embedded semiconductor solution provider driven by its Purpose,To Make Our Lives Easier.
