The Staff DevOps Engineer operates beyond a single product or squad, shaping platform strategy, reliability standards, CI/CD foundations, and cloud cost governance across the AI Factory. The role is hands-on where it matters most, while also acting as a technical authority and escalation point for complex infrastructure, deployment, and reliability challenges.Key ResponsibilitiesArchitect and evolve cloud-native platform foundations supporting AI Factory products and internal platformsDefine and enforce DevOps standards across environments: CI/CD, deployment patterns, observability, security, and cost controlsDesign scalable infrastructure patterns for multi-service, multi-environment systemsAct as the final escalation point for complex infrastructure and reliability issueOwn architecture and best practices across AWS / GCP / Azure (multi-cloud exposure)Design highly available, secure, and cost-efficient infrastructureDrive reliability engineering practices: SLOs, SLIs, incident response, post-mortems, and resilience planning.Identify systemic risks early (capacity, cost, security, scaling) and address them proactivelyArchitect and standardize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps)Enable safe, repeatable deployments across products and teamsImprove developer experience by reducing friction in build, test, and deployment workflows.Support release strategies such as blue-green, canary, and rollback mechanismsStay hands-on with critical infrastructure code, platform refactors, and high-impact improvementsReview infrastructure designs and pipeline changes for correctness, simplicity, and long-term sustainabilityBuild foundational tooling that enables multiple teams to move faster and saferPartner closely with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and Product teams to align platform capabilities with delivery needsMentor senior DevOps and Platform engineers through reviews, architecture discussions, and coachingAct as a multiplier, improving outcomes across teams without direct people managementQualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.8 -12 years in DevOps / Platform / Infrastructure Engineering.Proven experience operating at Staff / Principal-like scope (multi-team, platform-level impact).Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).Deep knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (cluster design, scaling, security).Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesInfrastructure automation and scripting using Python, Bash, or similar.Experience with monitoring and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK / Loki).Strong understanding of networking, IAM, secrets management, and cloud security fundamental.Excellent communicator, able to translate technical trade-offs to engineering leadership and Stake holders.Comfortable owning triage, incident decisions, and conducting RCAs.Additional InformationWhat Success Looks LikeThinks in systems, not just features.Acts as a force multiplier for technical teams.Drives clarity in ambiguous technical situations.Chooses long-term maintainability over short-term hacks.Communicates complex ideas with precision and calm authority.Leads through technical credibility, not hierarchy.What We OfferOpportunity to lead cutting-edge AI projects in a global consulting environment.A dynamic and collaborative team environment with diverse projects.Sia is an equal opportunity employer.
