We take our role seriously as contributing to the safety and efficiency of Waterford’s transportation infrastructure, improving journey times and connectivity for communities in the city and its environs.Job DescriptionSouthlink N25 Ltd is currently recruiting for a part-time Toll Operator. The hours of work are 30 hours per week:Monday to Friday 7am-1pm rotating 1pm-7pm weekly:This role has arisen due to maternity leave cover and will end on the permanent operators return to the role.Role and responsibilities:The collection of tolls at N25 toll plaza (Southlink- Waterford).To correctly identify vehicles by class / type, to collect the appropriate tolls and to issue change and receipts as appropriate in an efficient and customer friendly manner.To assist in maintaining optimum traffic flow so as to minimise delay, maximise throughput and meet business targets and ensure customer satisfaction with the tolling service.To follow established procedures for handling of cash, transfer to the Cash Office and completion of the ‘cash-up’ procedure at end of shift / work session.To ensure that all customer enquiries and complaints received at toll booths are addressed and / or reported and escalated as appropriate in accordance with established procedures.Personal Attributes:Adaptable and flexible with a willingness to work irregular hours.Friendly and outgoing personality.Ability to work as part of a team.Self-motivated and enthusiastic.QualificationsQualifications and experience preferred:2nd level educationExperience working in a customer service orientated environmentExperience working in a cash handling roleGood numerical abilityDetail consciousAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writingAbility to deal with members of the public in respect of queries, complaints and the enforcement of Company policies and proceduresAbility to handle customer conflictAdditional InformationWe are committed to our planetIn each project we design, engineer and operate we care deeply about the legacy we’re leaving behind.
