As the VS Analyst, you will help plan and execute efficient production flow for the company’s goods, data, and information. Using your strong excel and analytical skills, you will design scheduling and staffing models that optimize labor, production volume, capacity, and efficiency. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities Includes But is Not Limited To:Create capacity-feasible production schedules that promote a smooth and efficient operation.Work with functional departments to develop plans to efficiently use resources to produce maximum revenue.Forecast long term capacity needs.Propose staffing requirement based on customer needs, upcoming work, and historical data.Highlight operational issues and proactively recommend activities to minimize impact to production.Evaluate current customer and operational strategies and recommend improvements.Gather data and develop/analyze/communicate information/results/conclusions, i.e. operational dashboard, reports, inventory, capacity, etc.Provide concise information for daily stand-up deliverables.Gather necessary information for management and customer meetings.Model effective communication, leadership, and partnership with other departments, suppliers, and customers.Continuously grow and develop your operational knowledge and leadership capabilities by participating in professional development opportunities.Alignment with Smith’s values of safety, respect, quality, integrity, open communication, and profit.Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time.Other duties may be assigned as neededQualificationsQualification/Experience:Experience applying strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems and processes in order to effectively process, manipulate, and analyze data.High proficiency in excel, with strong capabilities in organizing, validating, and analyzing data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities.Able to provide thoughtful/creative perspective and context to data reviewed, translating information into clear, actionable insights.Experienced in effectively guiding others through their data, ensuring we understand key drivers, implications, and recommended actions.Additional Information401(k)Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Flexible Spending Account (FSA)Health Savings Account (HSA)Life insurancePaid time offTuition AssistanceWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
