Associate Software Engineer

The Job

We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Associate Software Engineer with a solid foundation in software engineering principles, proficiency in Linux systems, and strong problem-solving skills.

This hybrid role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about both software development and system engineering. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable software applications and secure, high-performing Linux-based systems.

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java, Python, JavaScript, C or C++.
  • Design, implement, and manage Linux-based systems and infrastructure.
  • Work with databases and NoSQL solutions.
  • Develop scripts for system automation and configuration management (Bash, Python).
  • Optimize and maintain VPN and network security solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex system/software issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design scalable and efficient software and system solutions.
  • Participate in security audits and implement measures to address system/OS vulnerabilities.
  • Follow SOLID principles and best coding practices.
  • Utilize Git for version control and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ensure high system availability, performance, and reliability.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Strong fundamentals in software engineering and Linux system development.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, or JavaScript.
  • Solid understanding of Linux internals, networking, and system troubleshooting.
  • Experience with React, CSS, and Unix-based systems is a plus. Familiarity with scripting (Bash/Python) and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
  • Good understanding of VPNs, network security, and public cloud environments.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, and container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
