Access the We Are Distributed community
The We Are Distributed community connects you with other remote job seekers so you can support each other through the search. Today that means joining support groups tied to the roles you apply for and tracking your progress with weekly check-ins. Community Q&A, webinars, introductions, and suggestions are not available yet.
What the community offers
Two participation paths are live today, and each has its own dedicated guide:
Job search support groups connect you with other members who applied for the same company and role, so you can share updates and encourage one another. See Use job search support groups.
Weekly check-ins let you rate your job search or current employment each week to build accountability and spot trends. See Job Search Check-ins and Employment Check-ins.
Both require you to be signed in to your dashboard.
Join a support group
Support groups are created around the jobs you apply for, so the first step is an application in the Job Tracker. When another member applies to the same role, you get an invite to join the group. Inside a group you can post updates to the Activity Feed, see the other members, and jump back to the linked application in your tracker.
Follow the full steps in Use job search support groups.
Track your progress with check-ins
Check-ins are a private way to keep yourself accountable each week. Open Check-ins from your dashboard sidebar or use the Check in today quick action, then choose the Job Search or Employment tab and rate your week on a 1–10 scale. You can submit one check-in of each type per week.
See Job Search Check-ins and Employment Check-ins for the full workflow.
